Product Description
DataPort™ 4U ("U" = 1.75"
height), utilizing CRU’s advanced passive backplane technology for high
performance Ultra2 SCSI (LVD) and SCSI Ultra160 storage devices, is designed
specifically for high capacity RAID applications. It meets the EIA 19"
rackmount standard for easy, trouble free installation into a 19" rack or
cabinet. The standard configuration has eight integrated CRU patented DataPort
VI's on a single SCSI channel.
The dual 300 watt power supply system is
one of the highest quality fault-tolerant power supply systems available. It
offers true two way load-sharing and hot-swappable capability. If one of the
power supplies should fail, the system produces an audible alarm and an LED
signal, which would allow users to change a failed power supply without turning
the power off. High capacity ball bearing fan keeps the system operating at cool
temperatures. The back panel offers various cable connector options.
With all the features designed by CRU,
the DataPort™ RAID Ready Enclosure series offer the most cost-effective RAID or
JBOD solution for multiple SCSI hard drives applications. Customer specified
configurations and colors are available. Contact your sales representative for

The Ultra160 SCSI RAID Solution
For Ultra160 SCSI RAID applications, CRU recommends RAID Ready
enclosures equipped with DataPort VI 80-pin SCA carriers or DataPort 3n2. Please
refer to Ultra160 SCSI Technical Bulletin
 for more detail.
